Agenda

  • HB 1058 (SHUSTERMAN): The bill amends Act 91 of 1971, the State Lottery Law, to abolish the profit margin requirement for the Pennsylvania Lottery. The bill adds a policy section stating that the Lottery should generate maximum profits from its activities to sustain or increase the amount of funds available for its programs.
  • Amendment A01273: This amendment reinstates a mandated profit margin for the Lottery, but lowers it to 10 percent, from its current mandated level of 20 percent. The amendment also states that the Lottery shall be managed to mitigate the use of other funds under Section 311(a) of the act, and that the bill shall take effect immediately, not in 60 days.
