JOHNSTOWN – Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35), chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, will host a bridge dedication ceremony for Kenneth John Ivory on Monday, Nov. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ashville VFW, 158 W. Main Street, Ashville.
Act 51 of 2021 designates the bridge carrying State Route 1008 over Chest Creek in East Carroll Township, Cambria County, as the Kenneth John Ivory Memorial Bridge.
Private First Class Ivory was born in Chest Springs and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He was killed in action during the Vietnam War on Oct. 17, 1966, in the Thua Thien Province.
