Langerholc Announces State Grant for YWCA Rehab

The YWCA of Greater Johnstown has been awarded state funding to rehabilitate their indoor pool facility, according to Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35).

Langerholc said the grant was awarded by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) through its Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program.

“The YWCA of Greater Johnstown is a vital part of the Johnstown community,” Langerholc said. “I am pleased they have been awarded this grant to replace the roof and will be able to continue to serve the residents of Cambria County.”

More details on the grant:

The YWCA of Greater Johnstown

$50,000 for the rehabilitation of their indoor pool facility.  Currently, the roof is leaking, causing water to drain behind the brick walls and subsequently causing them to warp. In order to eliminate the water leakage, the rubber roof will be replaced by a new slanted rubber roof, allowing for rain water to drain appropriately. The total project cost is $84,702.
