Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) will serve as guest speaker at the 2nd Annual Cambria County Veterans Recognition Event and Bike Run cohosted by Laurel Highlands Historical Village and Rocky’s Tavern to be held beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 2.
“This is a great annual event intended to recognize and honor our veterans and also accept donations to help those in need,” Langerholc said. “I urge area residents to come out and show their support for those who have made so many sacrifices for our nation.”
The event begins at 9 a.m. at Rocky’s Tavern, 718 Maple Ave., Johnstown, with a free breakfast for all veterans attending, followed at 10 a.m. with a ceremony to honor selected veterans from various wars and conflicts.
“I would like to thank all those involved in putting this special event together,” Langerholc said. “It is one small way that we can thank our veterans personally for their service and come together as a community to help those veterans who may need assistance.”
