High School Students Invited to Submit Art for Sen. Langerholc’s Offices

HARRISBURG (April 4, 2017) Students enrolled in grades 9 through 12 are invited to participate in “My Pennsylvania,” by submitting their original artwork to be displayed at the offices of Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35).

Entries should demonstrate the artist’s view of Pennsylvania, and can capture the Commonwealth’s nature, government, history, and more.

Artwork should not exceed 10 x 12 inches and should not include glitter or copyrighted images.

Mediums that can be used include, but are not limited to, crayons, pencil, paint, collage, and photographs taken by the student.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, May 15.

“The goal is to encourage our young local artists to share their talents and provide a place where the community can enjoy it,” Sen. Langerholc said. “There is nothing I would like more than to have original artwork by young local artists on the walls of my district offices.”

Artwork will be displayed and recognized in Sen. Langerholc’s district offices.  These offices are located at:

  • 107 S. Richard Street, Bedford, PA 15522;
  • 125 E. Market Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; and
