Sen. Langerholc, Rep. Sankey to Host Hunting Seminar on Sept. 27

Area sportsmen are invited to attend a hunting seminar sponsored by Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr. and Representative Tommy Sankey.

The event will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, at the Sportsman Club, 393 Jackman Road, St. Benedict PA.   Registration begins at 5:30.

Cambria County Sheriff Bob Kolar and representatives of the Pennsylvania Game Commission will be on hand to brief hunters on state and local regulations, new laws relating to hunting, chronic wasting disease in the deer population, and other issues of interest to hunters.

“Our area is home to many hunters and some of the best forest land in the state,” Langerholc said. “The goal of this seminar is to bring together interested state residents with local and state officials who can provide information and answer questions they may have.”

“While hunting is about enjoying the outdoors, any time we can educate ourselves and practice safety, it helps ensure hunting will be around for everyone to enjoy years from now,” added Rep. Sankey.
